I have 3 left of 7 beautiful Papillon / American Cocker Spaniel Puppies for sale to forever homes.

Mom is a 2 year old smaller cocker and dad is a 2 1/2 year old papillon (contenental toy spaniel) Both dogs make amazing family pets. Our goal was to combine the size of a cocker with the grace and intelligence of a Papillon to create a great sturdy, easily trainable family pet. I anticipate that they will mature to about 10 - 15 lbs as mom is quite a small cocker. They are all black with white points. I'm an experienced and educated breeder and exercise great care with our animals. Our Cocker is our baby and very loved and we breed as a hobby only, not as a career. She is an excellent mother and has produced beautiful healthy pups with playful yet gentle personalities.

All pups will come with a blanket and toy and stuffie with the scent of their littermates as well as a puppy gift basket which will include current food, chew toy, ball, pee pads, collar etc.

They will all have been dewormed several times as well as current shots, bath, nails clipped and ears cleaned. Pups are available for viewing anytime. I also encourrge fmailies to stop by and check on your puppies progress from time to time. A deposit will be required to hold your puppy and no puppy will be released to their new homes prior to 8 weeks of age. Our pups are kitchen raised and very well socialised with other dogs as well as small children. They have a good concept on paper training and will be well on their way to going potty outside by the time they are ready for their new homes.

About American Cocker Spaniels

Bold and keen to work, the American Cocker Spaniel is equally suited to life as a gundog or as a household pet. Cheerful, gentle and sweet. This breed is of average intelligence, and is respectful of its master's authority. Amusing, trustworthy and charming with an ever-wagging tail. They are active, playful and devoted, but should be socialized well when they are young to avoid a tendency for shyness. Cockers who understand their place is under humans, are good with children. They love everyone and need firm, loving leadership and daily exercise to be happy. Some owners prefer to leave the coat long, brushing daily and shampooing frequently with quarterly scissoring and clipping. Others prefer to clip the coat to medium length to be more functional. Either way, the dog will need regular trimming. When brushing, be careful not to pull out the silky hair. This breed is a low shedder. Cockers are amongst the top 20 for intelligent breeds.

About Papillons

The Papillon is sometimes called the butterfly dog, because the ears look like butterfly wings. It is a friendly, intelligent dog that is tougher than it looks, and loves outdoor exercise. A Playful, lively, amusing, animated and charming little dog. Affectionate, gentle, patient, and proud, they love to cuddle. Enjoys a good romp outdoors. They are steady, obedient and are not yappers. Papillons can be trained to perform small tricks. Good with cats when they are socialized with them. Combing and brushing of the long, silky, single coat is important and fairly straightforward. These dogs are usually clean and odorless. Bathe or dry shampoo when necessary. Keep the nails clipped and have the teeth cleaned regularly because they tend to accumulate tartar. They are average shedders and do not matt or tangle.
This little dog is graceful and dainty in his appearance. With an appealing face framed by butterfly-like ears, a Papillon looks more like an adorable stuffed animal than a dog. But these busy, athletic, cheerful, intelligent dogs don't fit the stereotype of lap dogs. They work as loyal service dogs to people with disabilities.
Although most people think of Papillons as having those huge, erect, butterfly ears, it's also perfectly normal for Papillons to have drop ears. These dogs are called Phalenes, a French word for moth. Phalenes look very much like the original Continental English Toy Spaniels. Papillons are basically white dogs with markings of practically any color you see in the dogdom.Papillons are amongst the top 10 with a ranking of number 8 for intelligence amongst breeds. They are highly trainable and make great agility and therapy dogs.
